Take a spin in the sandy dunes of Cold Hawaii

Designed for the interior of the guesthouse ‘Vipp Cold Hawaii,’ a new version of the Vipp Swivel chair features a rich textile made of Belgian linen and wool in sand tones. The sandy dunes of the largest national park in Denmark, Thy, are punctuated with old fisherman’s cottages. Commissioned by Vipp, local architecture studio Hahn Lavsen and interior designer Julie Cloos Mølsgaard recently transformed one of these venerable cottages into the latest guesthouse for Vipp’s portfolio of one-room-wonders.

Made from a blend of linen, wool, and polyamide, the textile is special developed by Vipp’s Belgian upholstery supplier to achieve the perfect combination of natural fibres and high durability.

Swivel chair with gliders

The chair has an industrial polished frame with slender armrests and a four-legged swivel base on either floor gliders or castors. The juxtaposition of the robust aluminium base with the soft, high-end texture of the dense dark sand textile creates a captivating pairing.
